Christmasing at Greenacre

"Let us remember that the Christmas heart is a giving heart, a wide open heart that thinks of others first. The birth of the baby Jesus stands as the most significant event in all history, because it has meant the pouring into a sick world of the healing medicine of love which has transformed all manner of hearts for almost two thousand years... Underneath all the bulging bundles is this beating Christmas heart."
 -- George Matthew Adams
Y'a ll best put a kettle on and grab some Christmas cookies.

Merry Christmas
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas time!. It is as you might have guessed by now , my favourite time of year.
These images from pinterest are the epitome of Winter wonderlands!
The snow is so dreamy for me, perhaps because we have none.
Or perhaps because the candy canes sticking out of the ground look a little out of place without it.
Either way...I am hoping for a white Christmas.
Making me super excited at our first snowfall.
My homage snowflake manicure.
This year I started a new tradition of resting and enjoying the after glow of Halloween on November 1st. Spending one last day with my Halloween peeps.
On November 2nd however it's officially the Christmas season.
21 bins and a couple of weeks later.
We are Christmasing at Greenacre!
Welcoming our new members to the decoration family.
Which is made of Snowflakes, candies, gingerbread people and snowmen.
“Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand-and melting like a snowflake...”
                                                              ~Francis Bacon, Sr.

Our traditional Christmas treats start with Panettone and tangerines as staples.
Followed by  torrone, Baci, After Eights, Tolberone, Ferror Rocher and peanut butter balls.
Christmas treats are one of life's most delicious pleasures!

So are the Christmas cannoli's and Christmas coconut cream pie.

Just love the Holiday Season!

"Remember, if Christmas isn’t found in your heart, you won’t find it under a tree.”

Jesus is the reason for the Season!
Santa Clause is just his sidekick.
With gingerbread cheerleaders.
and candy mascots.
The first Christmas ornaments I started collecting were snowmen
.
This is our first family Christmas wreath. It was just a snowman couple. Then I glued the snow babies as we were Blessed with each one of our sweet angels.
Greenacre is home to a large extended snowmen family.

Each one an old friend that gathers round on Christmas.
What I wouldn't give to wake up to a marshmallow world ...heck I would LOVE a good snow day any day now. Just not in March please!
