So sorry for the my absence but I have been dealing with a family tragedy and can finally come up for air and catch up on some much needed blogging.
Summer skipped by and I didn't even notice until Fall stared me down in the face , giving me no choice but to catch up & be in the present. Why is this so hard to do sometimes?...wish my brain would come with buttons...an on/off button would be MINT! ...especially at night when my body is crying out for a good night's sleep .
A good friend of mine shared this saying with me and it is so very very true!
(Sorry for the profanity)

Fall comes with so many activities, decorating, pruning, cleaning, pumpkin farms and baking...lots and lots of baking. I hope you are enjoying the joys of the season.
Every season hath its pleasures;
Spring may boast her flowery prime,
Yet the vineyard's ruby treasures
Brighten Autumn's sob'rer time.

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells.
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells.
John Keats
